Zishi Han

(b.1990) lives and works in Frankfurt am Main. With a focus on installation, Han’s practice encompasses a range of media, including sculpture, video, sound and performance, to examine power structures and their psychological effects. Often incorporating ephemeral elements such as vibration, light, and mist, his work challenges established relationships and invites viewers to consider latent desires and alternative connections. Informed by research into transcultural figures, artefacts and events, Han constructs orchestrated apparatuses that enable densely layered spatial experiences.

Zishi Han’s recent major institutional exhibitions include Politikens Forhal, Copenhagen, Denmark (2025); Sculpture Center, New York (2025); Busan Biennale, South Korea (2024); Kunstraum MEMPHIS, Linz, Austria
