a silver lining

2025.5.10 - 2025.7.6
BROWNIE Project is pleased to present artist Kim Myungchan's solo exhibition 「a silver lining」, featuring 10 newly created artworks, on view from May 10 through July 6, 2025.
People often describe “a silver lining” as that fragile sliver of hope glimpsed in moments of hardship—a soft, tender light that breaks through darkness. At the same time, its literal inversion—“lining on silver”—mirrors the way artist Kim Muyungchan works: a spontaneous phrase, a fleeting gesture etched directly onto metallic surfaces. Bruised eye sockets, healing fingers, the tips of pine trees—these are sprayed onto metal, where traces of emotion flow through space with rhythmic precision, like rhymes unfolding across a stanza. The emotional residues are not scattered but structured, coming together to form a landscape imbued with poetic cadence—where image, feeling, and material intertwine into a single, quietly resonant composition.
